Thanks so much for inviting me to tell the story behind the photo!

Rick and I were excited to try out something new, having never tried light painting before our first club meeting in October. The timing was perfect as we were spending time with our grandchildren and a few of their friends that weekend. We invited them to bring their costumes and they had a wonderful time in our dark backyard playing glow stick tag and posing for some light painting photos for our first club assignment.

Our 5 yr. old grandson dawned his spiderman costume and was the perfect model knowing the best spiderman poses and holding very still in the cold night. Working together with Rick, we posed the eager subject, caught his image with a quick flash, and then with a 10 sec. exposure we used a red lighted headlamp for the fiery web effect and a green glow stick for the Green Goblin glow around his legs. Editing included minor adjustments in Photoshop Elements 2021 and quick darkening of the grass in spots near the lighted areas with the healing brush and burn tools. Our grandson had as much fun as we did and may or may not think he's the real spiderman now!
